Baby Congratultions Sayings

THE LINK QUARTET

The Link Quartet

I would like to make a call for show of hands to count how many people have never danced or is not able to beat feet and hands to the Hammond sound. Or I understand enough to be amazed by those who do not see - and it's luck, believe me! - The instrument like a piano locked in a wooden box that sounds like a pipe organ.

The Hammond was invented to replace the expensive and organs in the churches. Expensive because their production requires skilled craftsmanship difficult to find - in addition to the required periodic re-calibration of single-barrel - and challenging because the space occupied by a pipe organ can have only one church as the richest and largest cathedrals and basilicas of Europe. Small churches in small town America were certainly not able to compete with the space and the richness of the great churches, but within them, the liturgy was characterized by drama and expressive force. What was missing was a tool to respond to the demands.

Engineer.

Poi, la Seconda guerra mondiale fu il volano per il successo dell'hammond come strumento per far ballare : American soldiers who arrived in Europe brought with them want to dance and be together and Hammond was the tool that the military chapels have available. So it was that you start using the hammond over liturgical use in the liturgy of the phenomenon of fun and dance that was the American music in Europe during and after the war. The hammond thus began a journey that led him to cross the history of music from blues to rhythm & blues to rock 'n roll, from pop to rock to hard rock, from jazz to soul to soul jazz to funk , until you get to this day.

splendid heritage of a family of musicians who have dedicated themselves to the study and application of sound hammond facets are the Link Quartet from Piacenza. Born from an idea guitarist Mr.Link aka Giulio Gardini the Link Quartet, today, after a series of changes in training, may be considered, quietly, the best band on the music scene hammond Italian and European level that the band has continued , reset, the trace of the James Taylor Quartet's.

Their first album, Episode One, released by the English Animal Records in 2001 is a work of surprising enjoyable instrumental cover for freshness and incisiveness, in which sound evokes scenes from the movie 70. revival is not easy, although the band at will fetch songs from the repertoires of people like Lalo Schifrin, Nino Ferrer, Quincy Jones, Small Faces and even Green Day, whose re-read "Espionage", but a true reading of the songs in the style of training. The Link Quartet show in this work, with their sound, to be able to customize songs like few others to avoid smudging.

But with the work Beat.it Italian Playboys in 2002 and 2004, both released for the American Hammondbeat that the Link Quartet, with further training changed , starting a process of complete characterization of their sound a bit distancing 'from the path of acid jazz and lounge 90s period.

Italian Playboys, in particular, being more diverse and aware that the LQ demonstrate that they have become aware and security, and each of the 14 pieces begins with atmospheres (jazz, rock, funk, soul, lounge, progressive, new jazz, etc.), transform and make a consistent whole. The influences are the sounds of their musical background of the '60s and '70s.

Move Move Move, by Italian Playboys, is a captivating cover - very difficult to reinterpret a classic (the reinterpretation, often gives rise to cloning is botched, vague and ill, or not easily recognizable reinterpretations ...) - and has been included in the album after the American tour, at the request of record production. Lady Shave, provided by Italian Playboys, is another piece that comes out of the live set (it was used as the opening track in the English tour in 1999). The real strength of the LQ is their extraordinary ability to take the stage to sing and play before making it to the public to dance with percussion, the rhythmic bass and drums, with the 'acidity and the classic Hammond sound funkista use of syncopated guitar. The fluidity of Move Move Move and Lady Shave is one of their live set.

Glass Onion is a cover of The Beatles (White Album) reconverted and has a new personality. This is due to the musical training of members of the band: Jack McDuff and the entire production American soul jazz (the black kind) to produce extraordinary mood / northern soul sound of much of the 60s, british rock up to school ( nature white ...) Brian Auger. An explosive mixture, enveloping, smooth and continuous live in supported by clear references cinematografici e d'arte visiva degli anni '60.

In Fast Cars & Sexy Girl, always the Hammondbeat (2009), the irony does not stop at just the title. The song is fun, fresh in its vintage appeal, and has extensive references to key thrusts McDuff, Jones, Patton, Wilson and winks at JTQ.

Then entering the RecordKicks, nu nu soul funk productions, in collaboration with the wonderful voice of Giselle Smith in a very vintage sound and modern, so engaging and so beautiful, on that line eminences of sounds drawn from contemporary music.

Their sound is now trying to find their news in the past. Years of modern music.

time of the Link Quartet is a time of modern music.

... and they will hear about in time.

Good music.

  • The plant biodiversity of the past to show children: the challenge of the book "The Islands
  • time. Adventures in Green prehistoric
  • "
Who does not know the brontosaurus and the tyrannosaurus? Almost everyone, from children to adults. How many know rinia or magnets? Almost none. The children's book "The Islands of time "(Science Publishing), due out in November 2010, was not born only to spread the knowledge of fossil plants and to educate the evolutionary history of plants, the book was born from the desire to share with others, especially with young people, love for this green world away and feelings of curiosity, wonder, interest in what the plants were able to invent to grow, adapt to different environments and often hostile, to win a place in the sun for themselves and their own race.
The book is available at libraries, in the case that your bookstore goes without them can be ordered through the library itself.

GEORGE CLINTON - PARLIAMENT - FUNKADELIC

    Funk, the final frontier.

here are the voyages of the Mother Ship, while deployed to direct the exploration of strange new worlds, discovering new sounds and new forms of life, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

is the Anno Domini 1975, the era of pure funk starts, takes the form of black music in its purest essence, George Clinton and his bassist Bootsy Collins received a visit on his way back home "A light bounced from one side of the road, we saw more than once and I remember that I said something about the fact that the mothership was angry with us because we had found the funk to the masses without their permission ... At that moment the light hit the car, the street lights suddenly disappeared and we were alone with no one around ... I said <>. These are the words of the Prime Minister of funk, George Clinton, the man who more than anyone has believed in music as a religion, charismatic to the point of collecting under his wing a vast number of musicians to wonder which of the monsters of 'era of funk has not played with him rather than ask who has worked on some of his extravagant projects. Was caused by any substance that vision does not matter, it was time to revive the funk and its preachers.

Since the 50 episodes were succeeded by many in the musical life (and others) of George Clinton, but, as in a vicious circle, something always came back: the desire to bring together the best (and craziest) musicians in circulation so that the verb the funk be known, because, says the wise "The funk is what you need at any time" it was the perfect formula against the "syndrome" of "double consciousness," the being of color and feel discomfort in your country, these United States of America who saw all white or black, but mostly white. There was need of funk as clean air, a new belief, a hope to cling to feel part of un “tutto”, nel sogno della connessione alla coscienza collettiva, al fine della creazione di un mondo perfetto, in tutto e per tutti.

Prima furono “Parliaments”, sonorità doo-wop ed un solo singolo di successo, “(I Wanna) Testify”, emerso grazie all'incarico di Clinton alla Motown in veste di autore; poi furono “Parliament-Funkadelic”, un ensamble di musicisti con diverse provenienze (dalle band di Sly Stone e James Brown per esempio) che nel 1975 diede vita al progetto che palesò il funk agli occhi del mondo: l'Lp “Mothership Connection” ripulì il genere da tutti i fronzoli dati dalle ballads sempre presenti negli black album, giving the music world what it needed without knowing (at least consciously), laying the foundations for the future by planting the seeds for the genre that followed, and drew liberally from funk: hip-hop. Many musicians owe their fame to songs of Parliament-Funkadelic, sampled and revisited in plunder. In the real world, unfortunately, George Clinton could not take advantage of this wealth because of legal troubles resulting from the use of the same musicians for different configurations (Parliament, Funkadelic, Bootsy's Rubber Band, Brides of Funkenstein) under different labels, all band known today under the name of "P-Funk" mean Pure Funk? Yes, it is pure funk, what you read in your mind, you enter into the veins to become part of you until the end of time and space. If this is what you can move the stomach, which makes you blood boil, then sent to the devil any obstacle between you and your true nature, go to the best record store in your town (but the smaller ones, run family) and ask the clerk the best funk album ever produced in history will ask you to wait for a while, disappear behind a door that you had not noticed, and will return with his best smile on his face and what you asked "Mothership Connection". He tells you that can provide altri, “Cosmic Slop” dei Funkadelic per esempio, prezioso per la cover art di Pedro Bell; “Osmium” dei Parliament, che riporta incisioni di gospel, rock e di funk, quello vero. Ci pensate su e gli fate notare che questi titoli erano già nella vostra lista ed una espressione sorniona basterà a fargli capire che voi sapete di cosa state parlando e gli direte che farà meglio a prepararsi al vostro ritorno, per l'acquisto dell'album che vi sconvolgerà, dall'inizio alla fine: “Maggot Brain”, dei Funkadelic; sì, esattamente quel contenitore di suoni che friggono il cervello, quell'album dalla copertina eloquente (una testa di donna che esce, urlante, dal terreno), una tirata polemica the fear attached to the liner notes ... you are ready for a cruise on the ship of funk.

    This ship is also yours.

Embark on a journey through unexplored space, pushing boldly where no man (maybe) has gone before.

We intercepted phone call between a hypothetical Gianfranco Fini and Pier Ferdinando Casini.
We publish content ... for some people because consistency has never too much!

    C. "Hello gianfry, I decided to vote for the law on conflict of interest"
    F. "Ah, that's OK I vote"
    C. "No look, you're crazy I never will!"
    F. "You give me the citizenship law in 5 years and I'll give you the conflict of interest"
    C. "I'm Ok"
    F. "I'm what?"
    C. "I'm the exchange"
    F. "But so are you dreaming?"
    C. "What am I dreaming?"
    F. "Hands off the conflict of interest!"
    C. "Citizenship in five years, never."

At this point, the two greet each other:

    F. "Hello Pierferdi"
    C. "Hello gianfry"
    F. "What you want from me? Who speaks? "
C." says to me? But go to hell! "
    F." I love you, Pierferdi "
C." Me too, until tomorrow "
    F." Yes, we feel "
    C." No, sorry, I'm busy tomorrow. " ..

    Piehe in geological section

Geometrically it is possible to define a fold Antiform
if it has the concave down and
    Sinform
if the concavity is directed upward.

If the stratigraphic sequence of an anti-form or a Sinform has a normal polarity (the oldest soils are stratigraphically below the most recent ones), then the fold is called respectively anticline and syncline. In other words we can say that in an anticline in the side Cancano Antiform are older than land those in the convex side. In a syncline fold Sinform, land on the concave side are newer than those in the convex side. There Sinform anticlinal folds that correspond to the folds Rovasco mostly type horizontally

To display a cross-section depends on the data of paper. We must see how the stratigraphic limits of the different lithological units, and the indication of the stratigraphy which give very important information. Depending on the polarity of the stratigraphic sucessione You can make assumptions dul type of fold and anticline, syncline, if it is lying, symmetrical or asymmetrical. The classification depends on the space of a fold by the position of the axial plane and hinge line.

When Should I Scan My Dog For Pregnancy

    JAMES SENESE E NAPOLI CENTRALE

Italy, 1944. World War II turns to the end. U.S. forces and "partisan" against the fascists and German forces.

Naples. An African-American soldier named James Smith meets the young Anna Senese. The two fall in love ...

1945. The year of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Second World War ends. Fascist and German troops surrendered, while a young genius named Gary was born.

Gaetano Senese, aka James Senese, began his career as a saxophonist in the 60's with "4 Conny" where she collaborated with bassist and singer Mario Musella, and which will also collaborate in Successive Showmen.

James, however, is enamored of jazz, and its trials. E 'in love with Coltrane and Miles Davis.
feels the need to create something new. Of experimental.
Thus in 1975, together with his friend the drummer Franco Del Prete founded Naples Central quartet that sees James on sax, flute and vocals, Franco Del Prete on drums, Mark Harris on keyboards Walmsley and Tony on bass.
The fruit of this collaboration comes to life in the same year, 1975. The title is simply "Napoli Centrale", the label Ricordi.
A job, in my opinion, excelled. A mix of jazz, funk, fusion and a pinch of progressive rock blended seamlessly with the Neapolitan folk music. They remember a lot, musically, Weather Report, you know, James loves and studies.
The song leader is Campaign a description of the lives of laborers among whom James has grown (Also the album cover depicts the protagonists of the countryside around Naples), while People and 'Bucciano, another pearl of music, addresses the issue of migrants who move from their native land, to go to work in factories in the north.
The theme is also developed in viecchio, Muglia, and muorto criatura, my favorite track, which is already entitled eloqueste: there are young people who go away for seek their fortune elsewhere, industrialization that just will not go down. Musically very dark, but essential to face the kind of issue.
The entire disc is, as the legendary Miles would say: Cool!
Franco Del Prete juggles the drums like never before, including jazz rhythms, funk and virtuosity that make him a really great drummer. The same goes for keyboards and bass, which keeps warm the interpretation and reporting directly to the air we breathe to the south.
James, finally, is perfect. And 'as if speaking with his saxophone. Nostalgic and pissed off when needed. I know from his notes. And then the words, themes, dialect.

Bisogna evidenziare assolutamente brani fantastici come Sangue Misto , e l'incalzante Simme Iute e Simme Venute.

Sperimentazione ancora più marcata e più incentrata verso il jazz, with lyrics on the contrary "lighter" and less socially engaged.

At this point James attempts a solo career with several jobs out in the 80's, and towards the end of the latter, creates a new and latest training Napoli Centrale with Augustine Marangolo on drums, Savio Riccardi Gigi De Rienzo on keyboards and bass.
The quartet produced three other albums: "Jesceallah" in 1992 and "Ngazzate ne" in 1994 and "Shut up! He Vnenn O 'Mammon' in 2001, but none of them reaches the level achieved by the gratitude and first three years of work 70.

addition to Napoli Centrale take the project forward, James continues to produce solo works. The 'last one is dated 2005 and titled "Je'm CCA and includes an album with three new songs and a book of his biography, from which it seems appropriate to set the sentence of James written on the back cover:

<< I was born black and I was born in Miano, I play tenor and soprano sax, the sound halfway between Naples and the Bronx, John Coltrane study from morning to night, are in love with Miles Davis, Weather Report and more I've always done instinctively, trying to find my own language, not copying from anyone ever ... my sax bears the scars of joy and pain of life. >>

Thanks James Senese Napoli Centrale and for holding high the name of Italy in the Jazz-Funk scene.

    Dj Danko

    Trackball Fell Out Glue

    JAMES BROWN

There are few people in the world that can boast a reputation as extensive.

Just as there are few people in the world who can boast of aver avuto una tale influenza sulla stragrande maggioranza dei generi musicali.

At that time, however, the regular guys like him ended up hanging from the trees if overdriven.

    He did not.

working in the cotton fields and shoeshine, James Brown certainly has not spared the petty theft, which took him 16 years to know, reformatory Toccoa, his future bandmate Bobby Byrd.

Once out of the reformatory lively James, who already possessed the charm that would make him famous around the world, was welcomed home Bobby, who had his own musical group, and did not take long to topple from his role to become a bandleader himself.

After a long apprenticeship, get a contract with the label subsidiary of King, or the Federal Records, which brings him together with his band the Famous Flames ", to record their first hit" Please , Please, Please ".

    was 1956.

The album was a huge success and immediately jumped into the Billboard charts. Of them later, for all 60 years and most degli anni 70, James Brown piazzò singoli in classifica.

In più il his side "consciouss" suggested that he use his music to communicate a message that went far beyond simple "ballad" sickly sweet.

education for his people, the awareness of his audience (mostly color) to get an education, to study, because an educated man does not put your feet on the head by a company that wanted them ignorant and obedient.

But you know, life is made of ups and downs, and as the artistic side of James Brown was never put into question (except by some of his own music ...), the private side was always in constant motion.

The loss in 1973, his son Teddy (one of his sons with an innate musical talent) following a tragic accident, it displaces, it will land.

publish in the same year the album "The Payback", after being repulsed headlong into music to escape reality.

His marital vicissitudes were not his style to be less rugged and raw ", ending several times over the years, sui giornali di tutto il mondo.

Genius and intemperance, you know, but at the expense at some point it was his music, now in slow decline due to the advent of musical genres increasingly synthetic and far from his style .

few movie cameos here and there, thanks to my friend Dan Aykroyd, first in the movie The Blues Brothers, and later in the film Doctor Detroit (with the same Aykroyd between the protagonists), and the sudden return "a bomb" on the scene, thanks to the single "Living in America" in the fourth chapter in the saga "Rocky" renewing its presence on the Billboard charts, up to fourth place, with a few more million copies sold.

    Then darkness again.

other scandals, including charges of attempted murder against his wife's arrest for possession of cocaine, possession of weapons and many other crimes mercilessly immortalized by a mug shot shows him that upset.

He never ceased to crush the boxes around the world, a true professional to the end.

Read a tumor prostate, in 2006, endured all the necessary care in order to finally claim to have defeated even that bad, as if life had not tested enough.

On December 25, 2006, 1: 45 am, in a room Emory Crawford Long Hospital, due to a severe pneumonia, has lost the only challenge that could never win.

The whole musical world has cried for the Godfather of Soul.

On all sides of the globe, that day of Christmas, there were no bells and prayers remember the nativity.

homes echoed in his squeaky high testosterone.

    Simply thanks.

    I confess

    Yes I admit it!

I like women and gays. How to Berlusconi. And yet beautiful, pace of Bindi. When I see a man with those round things up front and nothing in between my legs, I get excited for some reason. It matters little that this man call woman.

Nature has its problems (maledetta!) for me to procreate.

I confess, I ordered the lot, I'm a freak of nature, perhaps a black sheep because the sheep I've never made. Oh, I said. Now who knows how many smiles, many discrimination, how many elbows and teasing just turned their backs.
I like the bumps instead of the bumps. I like the wells instead of the towers.
Oh God, where we will end this step? I can not do anything, it's my instinct.

An instinct that seems to be deleterious, as anyone who has read me my parents have the same instinct. Are to be treated, I admit. A good dose of the gay morning and evening before bed would be what it takes. But I can not do it, no, I just can not. I feel sick.

So what? Monaco me? Maybe. Would be happy Casini. How? He too is a father? No this can not go. Forcing my instinct and become gay? I'd happy accident. But Fassino, Travaglio, Santoro, Veltroni, etc. .. are all married. God as my disease is spreading!

close me at home and watch carefully the photo of Schwarzenegger, I do it maybe even pleasure. In the meantime, let me dream for un'ingiallita photo of Nadia Cassini.

between a mandolin and a flute, unfortunately, still choose the first.

Olufela Oludotun Olusegun Ransome-Kuti was born October 15, 1938 in Nigeria, Abeokuta, in a middle class family. All the members of his family were in some way actively involved in social work: his mother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti was an activist of the anti colonial feminist and his father, the Reverend Israel Ransome-Kuti Oludotun, was a Protestant minister and was the first President teachers union in Nigeria, and his two brothers, Beko Ransome-Kuti and Olikoye Ransome-Kuti, were both physicians, and known throughout Nigeria and, before I forget, their cousin, Wole Soyinka became the first African man, in 1986, won the Nobel prize for literature!

certainly growing in an environment so rich in adverse political ideologies, focusing on violence and military repression, he could find fertile ground to begin its journey as a musician first and activist then.

moved to London at age 20 to study medicine, he decided soon after to join Trinity College of Music: it was taken at that time that he formed his first band, Koola Lobitos, a fusion of jazz and highlife.

In 1960 he married his first wife Remilekun, with whom he had three children (Femi, Yeni and Sola).

In the years immediately following the experience in London, there was the real turning point in the career of Fela: returned to Nigeria in 1963 reformed the Koola Lobitos, participating actively as a radio producer for the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation.

In this period, during the auditions for new musicians in the group, he met drummer Tony Allen, who accompanied Fela for more than a decade the most significant productions.

It was the artistic genius of Allen, with its revolutionary rhythmic percussion that can replace a whole orchestra of drums, to give the final form of the kind that Kuti, in 1967, during a trip to Ghana to explore new ideas, christened the term Afrobeat.

fundamental was the meeting in 1969, the United States, with the partisan Sandra Smith of the Black Panther Party, a movement of emancipation of the population African-American, who greatly influenced the message of his music, so as to make his lyrics focus on a critique of dictatorial policy adopted in his native country, an example of all the album titled Zombie.

Fela believed in the idea of a united, democratic African republic, as a supporter of Pan-Africanism and socialism also during the seventies and eighties, in his lyrics stood out the harshest criticism to dictatorships and military governments in Nigeria and therefore was proud supporter human rights!

same time attacking the conduct of the upper class, which, according to him, bowed before the will of the dictatorship, thus destroying the old African traditions.

The '69 Los Angeles Sessions is recognized as the first album with Fela's original band, meanwhile renamed Nigeria '70, recorded in a very short time in Los Angeles are illegal, since the components were without work permits. In this work you will feel no musical references to radical funk of James Brown, which subsequently affect the vision of the young musician.

his return to Lagos, the group was renamed again as the '70s and Africa, and the name finally changed also the content of their songs: all the issues of abandoned and sentimental love songs from radio success assured, produced true messages of political and social propaganda.

was then that Fela gave birth to Kalakas Republic: a recording studio, a community, but also a true home for all employees working in his new movement, so to be declared independent from the rest of the state of Nigeria.

The African tradition in which he believed also admitted polygamy, and even the Republic of Kalakas was founded as a place where polygamy was generally permitted. While not strictly part of African culture, it should be noted that Fela was very liberal in matters of sexuality , as stated in the "Open and Close. He also expressed some ideas that could be considered sexist , as when, for example, describes women as "nannies".

But his most provocative and sensational exploit was perhaps what he saw in 1982, married 27 women simultaneously (from whom he divorced in 1986).

At his revolutionary vision of music and politics Fela came a lifestyle that attracted trouble like a magnet known to be accustomed to marijuana, womanizer and unconventional (note his habit of turning in his underwear), Fela, to underline its separation from the colonial reality, denied his middle name European Ransome (that name from "slave") to adopt the new middle name of Anikulapo or "one which has its own death. "

From here on the success grew, Fela then decided to take his songs as the language of the Pidgin English, understandable to all corners of Africa where the languages and dialects are very numerous.

In 1977, also with Africa '70, gave birth to album Zombie, a snub to the military authorities, in which the zombie metaphor is used to describe the troops of soldiers, puppets, moved the will of the entrepreneurial class and exploiting the weakest of the masses.

This success, however, began to disrupt the repressive military policy: for they were numerous armed incursions into the Kalak, one of which the same old mother of Fela died after being thrown from a window, after which the town was finally given to the flames, sending smoke in so many of the records produced to date.

Despite his musicians began to fear for their safety, endangered by the numerous public addresses during their live performances, Fela also decided to undertake a political career, giving birth to a movement called MOP (Movement Of the People), presenting his candidacy in 1979 Nigerian primary election, that application was rejected.

That was clearly unhappy with this outcome, however, continued its propaganda by organizing tours and recording new albums throughout his country under the name of Egypt 80.

During his life the musician was quoted in court about 350 times and was imprisoned on three occasions: in 1984 he was arrested on a trivial charge, but saw him helpless in prison for over twenty months and this event sparked the mobilization of many human rights groups, to push the General Ibrahim Bagangida to release the revolutionary patriot Fela Kuti.

This latest experience only served to strengthen his will to continue to profess his message of rebellion, so as to obtain a part of the stage at the big event of 1986 at Giants Stadium in New Jersey, or the Conspiracy of Hope concert organized by Amnesty International, which also took part in such artists as Carlos Santana, the Neville Brothers and Bono.

Despite its outputs maladrine and his somewhat dissolute life, which certainly fed his legend, Fela's reputation continues to grow even after his death in 1997 from complications due to AIDS. About his life and his music have been published numerosi libri e album celebrativi, ma la sua maggiore eredità rimane comunque la sua musica: al suo attivo Fela può contare circa 47 album, la maggior parte dei quali pubblicati dall’etichetta Barclay Records. Tra tutti i miei preferiti restano il Live! con Ginger Baker del 1970, Expensive Shit del 1975 (l’omonimo singolo è stato remixato anche dal duo Masters At Work), ovviamente Zombie del 1976, ma anche l’album Music of Many Colours in collaborazione con Roy Ayers, al quale appartiene il singolo 2000 Blacks Got To Be Free nel quale si incrociano la delicata musicalità soul di Ayers e l’agressiva ritmica Afrobeat di Fela.

Nonostante l’assenza sulla scena current music of a character so charismatic Kuti, today is his son Femi to continue with his band Positive Force, his father's message. Meanwhile, his old arranger Tony Allen continues to develop that his original sound, mixing it with modern vibration, while a host of new groups such as Antibalas, become dell'Afrobeat spokesman in the 21st century.
