Earthquake in New Zealand
Nella giornata del February 21, 2011 12:51 local time (23:51 UTC) there was a large earthquake of M 6.3. The quake struck in the city of Christchurch (43.6 ° S, 172.7 ° E) in New Zealand.
The seismic event is interpreted as part of a sequence began with the earthquake of September 3, 2010 in the town of Darfield with 7.0 M although it seems there is no structure that puts relate the two events .
From a tectonic point of view, New Zealand is at a transform fault and called the Alpine Fault, which cuts at an angle on the island. This structure at the global scale, is a transform plate boundary between the right and the Australian Pacific. The focal mechanism of event September 3 shows a kinematic slip faults from the right, compatible with the Alpine Fault, while the event of 21 February shows a thrust fault from kinematics, probably associated with a tectonic-type Well-compression at the seismic event.

The Earth's core rotates more ... slowly
da: Nature Geoscience ; The Science
A study at the University of Cambridge, it seems that the speed of rotation del nucleo sia più bessa rispetto quanto ipotizzata fino ad ora.

KOOL & THE GANG
La formazione è composta dai fratelli Robert “Kool” (basso) e Ronald (sax tenore) Bell, Claydes “Clay” Charles Smith (chitarra), George “Funky” Brown (batteria e percussioni), Dennis "Dee Tee" Thomas (alto sax), Robert "Spike" Mickens (trumpet), and Rick Westfield (keyboard), to which is added Clifford Adams on trombone.
discs recorded live after confirming the good things we say around the band, a true soul jazz orchestra, which has no need of singers on stage: it takes the wind to make their sound overwhelming.
The success comes in the standings with Wild & Peaceful (1973). The record of the De-Lite wanted something like Soul Makossa, which had obtained an incredible popularity. The band, annoyed by the request, it closes in the studio one day and pulled out three Bombs recorded one after the other: Jungle Boogie, Funky Stuff Hollywood and swinging . After the session, Robert is approached the record, and still angry but proud of the results obtained, says: "Here is your Soul Makossa."
The next album, Light of Worlds (1974), marks a change in style and behavior of the band, which reveals his spiritual side. A sort of revival, helped by the practice of yoga and Eastern philosophies, which can represent the beautiful Summer madness . Subsequently taken over by so many rappers and used in the soundtrack of Rocky, the song opens leads to a magical world where the securities of the group come up with the acute final discretion.
sirens approaching hard, but resist Kool & the Gang for a while 'the charm of the dance floor and remain faithful to their "message" with the album Spirit of the boogie and Love & Understanding .
In 1976, Ricky Westfield left the band in the same year released the album Open Sesame and the title track is included in the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever . What did the brothers Bell next to the brothers Gibb?
What was happening was beginning to be clear. Earth Wind & Fire and the Commodores were based their success on a strong vocal presence, George Clinton and his groups Parliament and Funkadelic, were bringing the funk to another level. Could do was to take a new direction for the group to compete with the right weapons: by the hearings in the search for a vocalist, and here come directly from the nightclub, James JT Taylor, soul singer from the creamy voice and great personality .
fundamental choice which, together with the supervision of a new producer, Eumir Deodato , open to worldwide success and a new story , those who loved the first Kool & the Gang often repudiates.
From 1979 to 1986 The sales of their records, the hits in the standings and awards are countless. These are the years of Ladies 'Night, Too Hot, Celebration, Get Down On It, Steppin' Out, Fresh, Victory . Who has not danced any of these songs?
Of course, the sounds are easier and colder than the beginning, but it is fun to send each of these songs is evident by the smiling faces of the band, featured on the back of album covers from that period. After all this success, including economic, we had never lived in the first part of their career. Spent most of his life searching for the musical harmony of the group and almost ten years churning out pop dance hit. The album
Forever (1987), emblematic title, provides practically the end of the group, abandoned by Ronald Bell, and JT Taylor.
followed several attempts to reunite the band, the last in 2007 with the album Still Kool , but perhaps their best album is a collection of success recently, Reloaded: new versions of their most famous songs with the participation of artists such as Jamiroquai, Angie Stone, Redman, Lisa Stansfield, Youssou N'Dour and many others. Difficult task, because not all tracks are up, but definitely a good summary of the career of this band by the two sides. What

What Are Floor Seats Like In Rose Garden
LAFAYETTE AFRO ROCK BAND
Long Island - New York, Stati Uniti, 1970.
Our protagonists of the huge competition, decided in 1971 to try another way: Europe, notably France, but without the accession of Bobby Boyd will decide that instead of staying in America groped for the bang.
Larry Jones, Frank Abel, Lafayette Adson, Keno Speller, Ernest "Donny" Donable, Arthur Young, Michael and Ronnie James McEwan Buttacavoli fly to Paris, he dubbed the "Ice" and started to play mainly in the areas frequented by North African immigrants. ll their sound steeped groove can not help but draw their attention. Get
but also that of Pierre Jaubert, record producer, which makes 'our' band of his Parisound the study.
In 1972 comes the record year of onset, but after having renamed Lafayette Afro Rock Band, and they do it with the tag America by publishing "Malik." An incredible drive, which in addition to guitars and sound purely funk, African rhythms collects soul without neglecting the soul.
To note the beautiful Darkest Lights campionatissima among other things (by artists like Public Enemy), but also the same sound from Malik purely funk, and the pearl dancefloor I Love Music. A disc as beautiful as it is not easy to find.
In 1973 came the second and, unfortunately, the band's last effort for the label that publishes Musidisc the record "Soul Makossa," which not only contains a great version of the success of Manu Dibango, has one of its best tracks Hitachi pearl that has a drum breaks the initial championship by hundreds of artists including De La Soul, Naughty By Nature, LL Cool J, Janet Jackson just to name a few.
All tracks deserve, a sound that goes from 'Afro-funk that takes in large letters vita in mine come Azeta e Nicky (First One) ad influenze rock come in Oglenon. Decisamente notevole.
Surely two works of art, which are attached at the beginning of this article.
Get the records of Lafayette Afro Rock Band, you will not regret.

Is It Normal To Have Spots After Brazilian Wa
Boati Fadalto
area has a Mediterranean marine environment (ocean of Tethys) with a sedimentation of sea shallow at the coast of the African and Eurasian plate.
Under these conditions paleogeographic, in the Mediterranean area (Upper Jurassic) opens the Ligure-Piemontese ocean
Mediterranean (Upper Cretaceous) as a result of the collision between the African and Eurasian plate, you have the training dell'orogene alpine basin in the north while in the Ligure-Piemontese you subduzone of oceanic crust (early stage training Apennine). The sediments that were deposited in the marine environment (Ligurian-Piedmont basin) are progressively deformed during the entire process of subduction
In the Mediterranean the closure of the Ligure-Piemontese basin determines the stacking sequence and the deformation of sediments that were deposited in it during the earlier eras. Thus begins Apennine orogenic phase.
5. TERMINAL PHASE-Apennines the global continuous lifting of the Alpine chain and Dinnarica. The Indian plate collides with the leading Asian
lifting of the Himalayas. In South America due to the subduction of oceanic crust of the Nazca plate beneath the South American, this creates a type of volcanic island arc - Andino.
In the middle Miocene in the Mediterranean area, there is the opening of the Balearic Sea (continental rift) that leads to the separation of the Sardo-Corsican massif from the current French coast, and its gradual rotation. The geodynamic causes the stacking of the Apennine chain in a style referred to as a structural layers of overlapping tectonic or groundwater.

geodynamics of the planet's future is not predictable, but from studies of global tectonics and geodynamics is possible to predict a very large scale. Here we propose a paleogeographic map of a possible configuration of the planet is 50 million years.
The mystery of the explosions in Fadalto seems to be attributed to causes other than tectonic and therefore can not be attributed to the warning signs of probable earthquakes. Continue the investigations and studies by the competent bodies.
( read the whole article G. De Luca - is linked to the geological history and tectonics of an area that currently represents the Mediterranean.
The Alps and the Apennines are two mountain ranges formed by tectonic
flaps covering the base bounded by thrust faults and thrust faults. These structures are due to the collision of tectonic plates in collision that formed a zone of subduction of oceanic crust and the formation of an accretionary wedge. The Alps were formed by the collision of the Eurasian Continental tectonic calms the African north to south. The Apennines, however, were formed by the collision of the Adria plate (microplate which was initially linked that African) to the south and the European plate with the next sequence rotation of Corso-Sardinian massif.
1. OCEAN of Tethys: 255
But Before Triassic paleogeographic the conformation of the Mediterranean area was represented by a continent called Pangea where the coasts of the Eurasian and African plate gave the ocean of Tethys .
2. OPEN ATLANTIC OCEAN : 150
But Since you have the Triassic opening of the Atlantic Ocean due to the formation of a rift continental sucessivamente is flooded with ocean water, and determine the ' removal of the Eurasian and African plates, which collide and progressively rotate towards each other.
3. PHASE orogenic ALPINA : 80 But
Since you have the Lower Cretaceous slow and gradual convergence of the African and Eurasian plate. By now the Atlantic Ocean was completely open causing the progressive removal of the Eurasian and African plates from North American and South American plates, respectively. The Indiana subsides gradually is separated from Africa and begins its journey north (the collision with the Eurasian plate will determine the Himalayan orogens).
4. STEP Apennines orogenic : 50 But
From 50 But the convergence between the European and African plate continued, leading to the gradual closure of the Ligure-Piemontese basin. The Indian plate gets closer to the Asian plate and the ocean of Tethys is now replaced by the Indian Ocean.
lifting of the Himalayas. In South America due to the subduction of oceanic crust of the Nazca plate beneath the South American, this creates a type of volcanic island arc - Andino.
Only in the terminal phase dell'orogene Apennine you the opening of the Tyrrhenian Sea, with volcanic events in the regions of Tuscany and Lazio and Campania. Emerged in the Pliocene of the Apennine Mountains begin the phenomena of surface modeling by weathering (erosion, transport and sedimentation), while in the continuous marine sedimentation on the sea front of the Apennines (now Plain Valley and the Adriatic Sea).
paleogeographic The shape of the continents is the same as today. The Po Valley acquires the present structure, which is a plain formed by alluvial debris, from alpine areas to the north and the Apennine mountains to the south. At the global scale there are glacial phases with the formation of two great ice sheets: the first at the north pole until mid-latitudes (45 ° N approximately) and the second at the south pole with an extension to the southern mid-latitudes (45 ° S about ).
Alps form large ice with long tongues that reach close to the Po Valley (Lake Garda), which are now preserved the geomorphological and geological evidence of extensive morainic arcs. Even in the Apennines were less extensive than alpine glaciers, such as glacier Calderone
the slopes of Gran Sasso d'Abruzzo in Italy. Are still visible today along the moraines Campo Imperatore testifying to the past presence of large glaciers. The Adriatic Sea was a wide plain dried up completely due to sag in sea level, and that connects the coast of the Italian peninsula with those of Dalmatia.

Currently, the geography is well known, but there are small changes from the geodynamic point of view of our planet, as evidenced by the numerous earthquakes every day are also instrumental recorded by several stations simografiche the planet. Although volcanic eruptions are evidence of how our planet is geologically active and geodynamic evolution.
In the Mediterranean area can be recognized at the regional scale the main structures formed in the geological history of our planet. The Alps and the Apennines are the mountain ranges that are part of the Alpine orogeny with an area stretching from Morocco to the Himalayas. This suture is at the global scale, the clash of tectonic plates over which led to the closure of the Tethys and the creation of a fasta mountain range.
geodynamics of the planet's future is not predictable, but from studies of global tectonics and geodynamics is possible to predict a very large scale. Here we propose a paleogeographic map of a possible configuration of the planet is 50 million years.
